Na vele anderen is inmiddels ook de Dalai Lama gearriveerd op Twitter. Sinds afgelopen zaterdag is het Twitteraccount actief.

De Dalai Lama is bereikbaar op: @OHHDL

De eerste tweet was:

De accountnaam OHHDL staat voor “Office of His Holiness The Dalai Lama”.

Binnen 16 uur stond de teller al op meer dan 10.000 followers. Op het moment van dit schrijven staat de teller al op meer dan 12.500 followers.

Ik ben benieuwd hoe dit af gaat lopen, temeer daar enkele tweets reeds meerdere malen herhaald zijn. Er wordt gesteld dat:

His Holiness thought it was prudent to make his office open and assessable to a more youth and technologically advancing audience.

We wachten maar even af.

En we hebben de update. Het blijkt een hoax te zijn. Twitter heeft besloten het account te suspenden.
